Updating a Classic Pool with Modern Features While Keeping Its Original Charm
This pool, originally built in the 1960s, retained all its original features, including discolored and rough plaster, outdated tile, cracked concrete decking, and outdated equipment. The owners sought a modern update while preserving the legacy of the original builders. To achieve this, we added a sun shelf, a raised spa, and a step in the deep end, finishing the pool with a Stonescapes mini pebble finish in Aqua Cool. The tile selection paid tribute to the original owners’ choice, maintaining a sense of continuity. The pool’s size and shape remained unchanged, but we upgraded all plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment, including new pumps, a filter, heater, lighting, and automation. We also installed bubblers and umbrella sleeves on the sun shelf and replaced the deck with new concrete.
Bringing New Life to an Old Pool with a Complete Remodel
Brought in by the landscape architect, we were tasked with updating an outdated pool as part of a complete backyard renovation. Following the landscape architect’s design, we replumbed the pool, installed extra-wide poured-in-place coping, and applied a Stonescapes mini pebble finish in Tahoe Blue. The project also included installing all new equipment, an autofill system, and updated lighting. If you’re searching for a pool remodel near me, this project is a perfect example of how we bring fresh life to outdated pools.

Equipment Repair, Saltwater Conversion
Don is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in all aspects of pools. He fixed our electric components, pumps, heater, filter, lights, and converted the pool to a salt water system. Best of all he is nice, honest and fair in his pricing.

Equipment Repair
Professional, courteous, and kept his word! Don went through his checks and called his Pentair rep, but they couldn’t isolate the issue. That didn’t stop Don from continuing to troubleshoot. Everything works great now and I am deleting every other pool contact I have!

The duration of a pool remodel depends on the scope of the project. Minor updates, such as resurfacing, may take a few weeks, while more extensive remodels, including structural changes or major equipment upgrades, can take several weeks to a couple of months. We provide a detailed timeline after evaluating your specific needs.
Generally, the pool will need to be drained and closed off during most remodeling projects. This ensures the safety of both the workers and your family, and allows the remodel to proceed efficiently. We’ll keep you informed of the timeline and work to minimize disruption to your routine.
During a remodel, you can add a variety of features, such as integrated spas, swim-up bars, custom lighting, energy-efficient pumps and heaters, automated control systems, and advanced water features like infinity edges or waterfalls. We can help you design a pool that meets your vision and lifestyle.
